Join us on Saturday the 13th of May at Sizergh along with the Ancient Tree Forum as we take a walk around the estate and investigate its incredible trees.
The Sizergh Estate has been home to the Strickland family for over 700 years. The estate extends to 628ha and includes parkland, woodland, agricultural land and gardens, all with a long history of management. They have around 400 veteran trees dotted across the estate and on this walk we will visit a few, talk about their magnificence and management of the trees and the surrounding landscape.
The walk will be led by Luke Steer and Sam Sharples, Lead Ranger for National Trust Sizergh & Acorn Bank.
